Whilst the bozo at Amazon has already cowed to Trump the NYTimes front page Editorial Board statement lays it all bare.
'...Corruption and Lawlessness...........Another Trump term will damage the climate, shatter alliances and strengthen autocrats. Americans should demand better. Vote.'

Hitler two. A nightmare awaitens.

Not sure about everything

But I do believe that the parts of his family that say nice things about him and that he "likes" will come out of the whole things far richer

if that screws up the rest of the world is not relevant to him - not his problem

Although TV reports of his campaigns I've seen this year and his family seem to have been fairly absent. Saw one with Melania (and they actually made limited physical contact). Of course that could be that UK TV is just showing selective clips. But last campaign he seemed to be forever on stage with his family lined-up behind him looking like ...

I have seen a few clips with this sons

but Ivanka seems to be "otherwise engaged" or something

I have heard people wondering about what Melania was offered but that may be just sour grapes

I think it's more a case that some spouses embrace the limelight and others are reluctant to be public figures. Nancy Reagan and Jill Biden obviously enjoyed it; I got the impression Michelle Obama and M Trump didn't. I don't blame anybody for keeping their kids out of it, or them wanting to be kept out of it, when you see the abuse they get.

The whole thing is complex and weird.
I suppose the Proud Boys could become his Storm Detachment, at least until they had served their purpose. Trump would immediately extend his control of the court system.

And for all those at risk from a vengeful Trump, which countries would be deemed safe?
Any 'safe country' could end up being a gamble, everyone now having to manage all threats from the superpower.
Much/most of Ukraine falling is much a given so nowhere is Europe can be deemed safe.

And of course if Trump loses, expect chaos and and violence. And just maybe Trump will lose by a big margin. I expect lots of people like the Proud boys will actually vote Harris whilst claiming to support Trump.

bloody yanks - no idea how to run an election!!!!

Fair play though - their first results was declared 12 minutes after voting started:

In a hamlet where 66.67 per cent of the registered voters are Republicans (the other two are independents) and where Nikki Haley swept the primary with all six votes, the general election ended in a tie: three votes for Kamala Harris, and three for Donald Trump, NYT News Service reported.

"I didn't see that coming," Scott Maxwell said of the split result. His vote, for Trump, came as something of a surprise, even to him. As late as 10:30 pm (ET) Monday, Maxwell said he was undecided.

Dixville Notch was created for the sole purpose of turning the Balsams resort into a voting location. Neil Tillotson, the hotel's owner, won free advertising for the resort, and journalists took advantage of the in-house telephone company to deliver the town's real, albeit statistically insignificant, vote tally 12 hours before exit polls from elsewhere in the country began to trickle in.

This morning I read a slightly different look at how things are going

Slightly less serious

Basically a journalist noticed that trump's face colour varied from time to time - as many of us have
but she realised that often it varies and his mood and apparent ability to stay on topic and note go off on wild tangents also varied
and the variations matched

basically when things are getting worse then his skin colour at rallies gets darker
and if things go well he is in a better mood, stays on topic a bit better
and his skin is lighter

and the "make up" (or whatever it is) is better applied and les obvious

interesting way of looking at it

on which point - just seen the last rally from trump and the one from Harris
Trump's skin colour was darker then Harris's!!!

anyway - just something different - may make sense - may not

The BBC is interesting. Lots of untruths though I now have to agree with them. Simply declaring the interviewee a Republican is enough.

I was going to watch the C4 coverage. However, the guest duo is Boris Johnson and Stormy Daniels which is more than a bit off-putting.

I wonder though. Is she in the UK to look for somewhere safe to live should Trump win?
I imagine the whole 4 team is in the US.

ALready a "truth" from trump
"A lot of talk about CHEATING in Philadelphia - law enforcement coming"

general trump rubbish
"a lot of talk" means nothing - who is talking - him and his people or who - means nothing
CHEATING - in caps - already getting desperate

law enforcement coming - implies there is something in it - but actually they have to respond in a candidate if they claim cheating
but they might want some facts
which he is not talking about

getting desperate so starting the "they only won by cheating" early
and it they do win they can claim they did it in spite of the cheating
