If it comes to pushing the button does it really matter who was wrong 🙄

We'll leave it to the cockroaches to decide....

Look into how they helped remove the democratic government and how they have continued to send arms to rebel groups to bomb Russians in the Donbas.
So basically you agree with Alexander Lukashevich, another producer of unbiased facts.

Unfortunately Ukraine has not had a straightforward path to democracy since leaving the USSR, has suffered its fair share of corruption, and its choice of Presidents has been subject to influence from both Russia and the West. Russia also uses its "influence" to "help" in the choice of leaders in many of its neighbours, including the poodle in Belarus.

It was extremely unlikely that Ukraine was about to join NATO, there has been absolutely no attempt by anyone in NATO to threaten any of Russia's borders and none of the problems in the Ukraine warrant invasion and the escalation of weaponry (cruise missiles and cluster bombs in cities) used by Russia. Russia has simply decided that it had had enough of diplomacy.

The word is disingenuous. I haven't mentioned eggshells, merely expressed an opinion as to Ukraine's most effective course of action (there's a clue there, you know). If I wanted to discuss Putin's actions I'd start or join a thread about it.
I'll take it that you don't feel confident to discuss your post in any detail then. (I guess grammar is as important as not standing upto totalitarian bullies đź‘Ť)

I have been happy to discuss my post. It's you who wants to divert to a different question, and keeps insinuating things in a snidely insulting way. When you can actually just understand what I write and not ineptly extrapolate bad guesses as to my further opinions, I might engage further.

Welcome yourself into the new modern crisis
Are you thinking UKRAINE were right to give up their nukes?
Well, bear in mind that in order for it to work, one has to think it credible that the person in control would actually use it, and in this case use it as retaliation against conventional warfare, not even as a nuclear counterstrike. Which leader of the nuclear armed nations do we honestly, really honestly believe might do such a thing?

I may well be wrong, but my impression was that Putin intended the threat to deter the West from getting too involved.
