It's not all bad news though.

A friend who works in investment circles has advised he's made a handsome profit by buying a load of BAE systems shares last week.

Just goes go show even in times of despair and destruction, there's dosh go be made.

I was having a read around the comments concerning the admitting Ukrainians, as you do, and there was quite a lot about sending the existing refugees back to France, more boat patrols to stop them, emptying the hotels, that kind of thing, in order to make space for and "welcome" the Ukrainians. Maybe approach Nat from that angle, appeal to her humanity?
You can't appeal to something she doesn't possess....

My comment was about Ukrainian tactics.
I know, but all things are relative; Do you think one side needs to avoid antagonising the other, when they are already on the receiving end of "tactics" out of all proportion? What Ukrainian tactics (proposed, not actually actioned yet) justify a full-scale land invasion?

Practical considerations: what they did doesn't in any way impede the Russians, but might well rile Putin to more aggressive conduct. It might be counter-productive or, at best, a waste of time (which could be better spent directing the Ukrainian defence).

Does this work both ways? Is it wise for Putin to provoke an armed neighbour? Have you been advising Putin on the most polite manner to address his opposite numbers in the West?

Perhaps try reading my last post again. It has f**k-all to do with 'politeness'.

OK ... <reads> ...

Well i think we've moved well beyond possibly "riling Putin to more aggresive conduct". Wouldn't you say? Have any other actors in the region carried out any aggression on a scale even approaching Russia's?

Meanwhile Putin publishes almost unlimited bellicose rhetoric, threatening multi-national armed mayhem, apparently to your approval?

In 2013 the then President won a referendum by a landslide on a ticket of joining the EU only to turn out to be one of Putins communist puppets and refusing to sign the EU agreement setting off months of rioting with the brutal arm of the police the Berkut (Miltary miltia) beating the protesters to a pulp.

Would you mind terribly reminding me where I expressed any 'approval' of Putin's actions.

So what DO you think? Has he antagonised anyone? Why do UKR have to tread on eggshells?
(This really is quite a simple point dear chap - you're being very disingenious making all these posts to avoid it.)

The word is disingenuous. I haven't mentioned eggshells, merely expressed an opinion as to Ukraine's most effective course of action (there's a clue there, you know). If I wanted to discuss Putin's actions I'd start or join a thread about it.
