Welcome yourself into the new modern crisis
Well yes, if that were the case. As far as I can gather, Starmer said that she was there, but when the Labour Press Office were asked, they said she wasn't. Lamy was interviewed and I think repeated the official line from the Press Office. Starmer has since clarified that she was there and said that the Press Office made a mistake.

The important question is this though; Why does it matter whether she was there or not?

Again, there at the event, there in the building or there in the same room at the specific time Starmer was photographed drinking a beer? Because it's the latter which appears to be the claim in the op but I think we may have built the goalposts on shifting sands.

Or maybe the situation changes as the lies are unearthed?

I would have thought that the development of a story is actually quite an important thing in situations such as this? Surely you aren't happy to just hear the first thing and then never hear anymore about it are you? Hmmmmmmm, actually I think that is exactly what you like to do.

What I would like is for you to either provide evidence for your original claim or else concede that there is none before we move on to what seems to be a less specific and rather less significant claim. Otherwise I may as well say that Shirley Manson shared my tent at Reading 98 and a lot of fun she was too.

Detail? Your source claims dozens of labour MPs and their aides were present.
So that's at least 24 MPs and 48+ aides.
Why doesn't your source have any evidence of that?
How did you get to those numbers then? Is 72 the minimum amount that counts as 'dozens' to you?

Wow, you really do you have your head in the sand don't you? Keir Starmer is now explaining how they all had food and drink together, where it came from and how it was served as buffet and not as individual meals, but because I haven't put in a link that you agree with it didn't happen.

Look on the BBC, ITV, Sky, even the Guardian are mentioning it now.

But why is it relevant? It was during work. They put out food so that people could eat whilst they were working.
It was permitted under the rules.

The *only* reason this is in the news is because the Tories need a dead cat to distract from Johnson.

To keep it Covid safe and distanced, you put the buffet in one room, people go in individually to fill their plates and then move to different rooms to eat.

Having a buffet rather than individual meals makes it less likely that they were in the same room at the same time.

Your article (Did you actually read it?) states dozens of MPs. So at least two dozen, or 24 MPs.
I have never been at an event where an MP was accompanied by less than two aides/assistants/etc so that makes at least 48 of them.

Starmer quoted in the Graun:

“We’re on the road. At the end of the day we’re in the office preparing,” he said. “Now that evening, from memory we were doing an online event for members … At some point, this was in the evening, everybody’s hungry and a takeaway was ordered.

“It was then delivered to the kitchen of the offices … In Durham, all restaurants and pubs were closed, so takeaways really were the only way you could eat. So this was brought in and at various points people went through to the kitchen and had something to eat, and got on with their work.”

So absolutely not saying that they all ate together, in fact the complete opposite. People went to get food _at various points_. Not together at all.

And then went and stood in 72 individual rooms to eat the food, at no time being in the same room. Which is odd as the photograph clearly shows several people in one room!

Why won't you believe Keir Starmer?

You have forgotten the security detail, the hangers on from the Durham constituency office, the secretaries, I think we may be looking at around 2,800 people. It is no wonder then that he can't remember the woman who got up so he could sit down isn't it

Summary, it's all very dodgy, and maybe the Police should have another look. Who knows, maybe someone should ask the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner to ask her force to have another look, I wonder what she would say, here she is............
