What a bunch of self-servng shysters.
I once thought it was the job of government to find out this stuff and then fix it for the people, not shove it under the carpet because it's politically inconvenient.
Why commission the reports and waste taxpayers money if you are not going to act on them?*
It would gross naivety to commission such report and expect a positive message.
Bunch of uncaring are-rissoles....
*I think we know the answer to this one, don't we children....

I see the Tory MPs who voted for water companies to dump raw sewage into our rivers and seas are deservedly getting a roasting on social media - especially those, like Hastings and Rye's Sally-Ann Hart, who are now claiming to be 'appalled' by the thing they've made inevitable. Enjoy the ratio.

Every single beach between Brighton and Hastings was reported as contaminated by sewage a couple of days ago. I know that voting Tory, by definition, involves defending the indefensible (or at least managing to look the other way), but does this sort of thing give Tory voters (or those that might consider voting Tory) pause for thought at all? Or do they just enjoy swimming in shit?

Maybe they go elsewhere to enjoy their swimming?
