Kuenssberg was and is a godsend for the BBC in that 24 hour news needs quantity not quality.
From a "Tory source" 🙄
I'm incredibly right wing...which means don't criticize Conservatives....

Joe that is

We were talking at home last night and agreed that the best of the Tory party wouldn;t work with Boris so he appointed the ones left that had some talent
They all left him so he was left with the dregs
They all b******d off, especially towards the end

so Truss is left with the dregs of the dregs

All the ones that looked like idiots on TV shows and got wheeled out to defend the indefensible when Boris cocked up yet again - the ones that were desperate to appear loyal but Boris knew were dispensible
They are the new cabinet

Starmer should have a field day

Steady on will you....it's a long game.

Probably about 2 years
but maybe less - we shall see

I would bet on it going full term unless the polls get even worse in which case there is the option to go for a quick election in order to 're-establish the mandate'
other wise known as hoping to maintain at least some of the majority Boris got
(or - by some accounts - Corbyn gave him)

He might even win the next election, if he can get any Labour supporters to vote for him that is.

My MP. So proud.

Chris Philp, the new chief secretary to the Treasury, is facing questions over his financial interests, after it emerged he still has a substantial stake in a property finance group and is director of an investment company.

Philp, who is the chancellor’s deputy and sits in the cabinet, is a member of a partnership that owns Pluto Finance, which offers multimillion pound loans to property developers.

It has provided loans for developments including £260,000+ “pocket” flats in Croydon and luxury blocks in the City of London whose developers earlier this year applied for an exemption to avoid having to offer affordable housing.

At last, someone in government gets the cost of living crisis.
A six figure salary just doesn't last these days.
The price of cocaine has almost doubled!

If they really have got the cost of living crisis they surely should have put a price freeze on it. It's only fair.

There is a well established economic concept called Trickle Down Economics that has been shown by many people ** to be a good way forward
The government seems to be using this wisdom as their chosen method of regenerating the economy

** when I say "many people" I mean rich people - and well respcted politicians such as the top of the US Republican party

If you expand the group to include proper economists then opinions tend to differ
economists can be found that agree the this concept is very effective - if you pay them enough to say it, which of course some politicians do

Proper economists agree that it is bollocks and it just makes the rich richer

but that seems to be the way forward for this government
boris was all for it but didn;t go for it full throttle in the full glare of the lights because it smacks of corruption
This lot just don't seem to think that is a problem
