Can we also sue the government for covering up yet another lazy Johnson failure. This catastrophe has long been known.

Sadly not, and I suspect that they won't recover a penny from Medpro. The argument looks like it will go down to the contract and I suspect that the requirements from DHSC will not have been tight enough to be enforceable. I could be wrong...

I am rather surprised that NHS does not have a procurement function, which, among other things, provides specifications and contractual conditions for products they wish to purchase?

It does, but the pandemic was too good an opportunity to miss for Tory chums.

So, the NHS Procurement Department (or whatever it is actually called) was bypassed? I would have thought that one of the many CEOs (or whatever they are called) would have (publicly) voiced opposition to this, given the obvious financial risks. I would have thought the Party in Opposition would have raised it as a potential problem?

This is not to say that the Government in power should be let off the hook, but, it would appear we have more than one problem here?

Honestly? Did you not see or engage with this at all during the last three years? The Mone/Medpro affair is the tip of a dirty great iceberg.

These are good starting points but there are dozens of other sources if you’re interested.
