The issue is that Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner have spent months going about how people should be honest and open about who was at which event, and the PM must be a thicky if he can't even remember whether he was at a party and if others can't remember him being there they must be lying.
As a result they should resign blah blah blah.
Now it turns out that she couldn't remember being in the same room as Keir Starmer eating sandwiches and drinking after sharing a flipping desk to do a zoom call together, where she introduced then got up and he sat down. All of which is apparently an honest mistake and the fact they both have been on tv denying it took place is just an oversight, and they really didn't remember.
No, they lied too. If they get a fine will do what they have been saying any politician should do in these circumstances and resign? No of course they won't, they will say it was unclear, they didn't break the rules as they saw them and round we all go again.
They are all at it, one lot will be no better than the other. It's a sad fact of life I am afraid.
Which laws, or guidance, do you think they broke?
