The Guardian is reporting that Johnson, after meetings with campaign manager, Lynton Crosby, this morning has cancelled his trip up to Donny for the NRG's red wall rallying. A likely visit to Wakefield is now also not going to happen. Is he no longer considered an electoral asset or is he simply conserving his strength for a gruelling Fathers' Day? Or summat else?

Nothing to do with deflecting from his problems in the UK prior to next week's by-elections, nor because EU leaders visited there yesterday.

The tactics are so transparent, but still some people will fall for them.

Tough Choice - go to some place in the North of England where he'll be booed and expected to answer difficult questions, or ponce around in the international spotlight pretending to be Churchill. However did he manage to decide?
