Because this is a discussion forum, and if you make comments criticising others as virtue signallers, but then say you are respected by your colleagues, it makes it look less like bullshit if you can actually explain how this manifests itself, or what you are personally doing to make Brexit a success.

Your constant tactic of refusing to answer perfectly sensible and relevant questions fools no one and is just a smokescreen for your lack of sensible and relevant answers and your fall back position of spewing out abuse.

Again….i dont need to explain my daily life or working life to you or anyone else on this forum.

your one brain cell wouldnt be able to take it all in. You can only just about put up a post on here, without me adding to your woes and wasting my time.

you asking what i do, adds absolutely nothing and is not a perfectly sensible or relevant question within a thread about tory sleaze, to which mudsticks has turned into yet another brexit thread.

as for the abuse, yet again it was mudsticks also spewing abuse, but you got too much of mudsticks in your eyes to see it……….can you let me know which eye your blind out of and i’ll make sure when i answer it, you can see it through your good eye.

I've just logged back into the forum after a few days respite, cancelling the ignore button after it looked like sanity had returned, only to see that the man-child is still ranting on to get attention.

As far as I can see not many people, Leave or Remain are actually doing anything to make Brexit a success or failure, but are just getting on with their working and private lives. You criticise someone who is actually doing something to help make Brexit as successful in their field as their specific role can, but you in your childlike way call mentioning that virtue signalling. Can you actually explain, and I promise not to call it virtue signalling, what you are currently doing that you were not doing before Brexit to make it a success?
Hint: Criticising/moaning about a political decision is perfectly acceptable and normal, otherwise we would all have nothing bad to say about the way this Conservative government is running the country until the next election, and should just live with the mess they are making in the meantime. Criticising or praising Brexit on an internet forum will have zero impact upon its success ir failure, but is a reasonable way to share one's opinions. One interesting thing I get from such discussions is that I have seen it is far, far easier to list/itemise the many problems caused by Brexit than it is to list the very few benefits, other than the mythical "taking back control", and that people who voted for Brexit get very unhappy and throw a tantrum when this is highlighted.

Careful, that is almost sounding like virtue signalling. Again can you give us some hints as to how this respect manifests itself? Do they vote you colleague of the month via Zoom (I don't know whether you work in an office environment or are still WFH) or have a whip round to buy you Welsh cakes?

Strangely enough, for a left-leaning voter, it is my left eye that has the problems. I would be interested how you can make your posts visible more to my right eye.

So far in this thread you have referred to my nose, my fingers, my arse, my brain cell and my eye. I'll send a laminated picture if it helps.

Meanwhile you still have no answers and hide behind a smokescreen.

A bit Seasalty even??

I've got an ankle length green one for wet winter work.
The others have shorter jollier yellow ones..

I thought maybe having a longer darker one might confer upon me an air of 'authority' 🙄

Right now I can't ever imagine it raining hard enough to need to wear it ever again..

😐

You'll be velcro-signalling soon ....

Tory sleaze and brexit are not wholly unrelated.

That looks the business, proper stuff. You'd be alright up here, it's been drizzling on and off all weekend.

It's ridiculous, I'm having to ask campers to be extra careful with their fires, just cos of the dryness of the grass..

Oh no I can we're going to get hooked into fastning puns if we're not careful..

Inextricably linked, I'd say...

Join the threads then…….if thats the case, instead of having brexit infect every thread.

The thread theme was Liz Truss and her poor judgement, which then included her late conversion to Brexiteer to further her own career. It was not about making the best of Brexit but about becoming a full convert for her personal political ambitions. She is supposed to make political decisions for the benefit of the country, not her career.

That is the personification of sleaze.

It is impossible to discuss Tory sleaze and completely ignore Brexit, the biggest political decision of this century, when considering the political actions of Truss, Johnson, Gove, Rees-Mogg and many others.

You jumped in with this post about whingers and then started the personal insults.

I believe thats why she voted remain in the referendum……but that was 2016, remain lost and now as possible PM she will try and make the best of leaving the EU…

maybe others who voted remian should do the same and stop whinging

The areas around here were rather on fire not so long ago and for once it wasn't the toffs on the grouse moors.

Yes I saw, they closed down the access land for a while didn't they .

Overall land management needs to change in the uplands, to stop such things happening again and again.
Peat restoration, and more trees, and holding back water, alongside better managed grazing, it can be done, but needs support, and stop setting it on fire on purpose..

Meanwhile In other protective garment news I've just gone to the other extreme and bought some sub 90g waterproof trews, for an upcoming trip.

I'm hoping to be carrying them, far more than wearing them.
