How, exactly?

Specific process & details would be helpful.

Just my personal view, I'd be happy to let them if I were in charge. I realise it might not be so easy in reality. Although as we all know, Scotland was given a go 10 years back and decided to stay.

Don't care about your "personal view" or the events of 11 years ago - explain the process.

There must be an answer, it's just that people don't seem to be capable of giving it. All I am trying to establish is how effective the old arrangement was I reality - regardless of how good it might look on paper. That said, it's not too relevant as we won't be going back.
The relevant question is about the number of asylum seekers and illegal migrants, not their means of travel. Irrelevant questions are a waste of time eg "how many people crossing in small boats had a haircut in the proceeding week?"

And the relevant question about numbers of asylum seekers and numbers of illegal migrants has massive uncertainty as many using lorries (before the switch to boat crossings) absconded without detection by authorities. So any answer is not useful.

Meaningless data helps nothing except prejudice.

You might not think it's useful. Other views are available.

I posted a link ( in the Starmer vision(?) thread, if I recall) to a BBC story a few days ago, it concerned a couple ( asylum seekers) who have been bouncing around Europe for 20+ years, so, the answer would appear to be “not very”

For data to be useful it has to be reliable and show something. The data you are asking about shows nothing more than improvement of port security in French Channel ports and is unreliable because of measurement issues.

So you don't know, then. Quel surfückingprise.

Have another go.

I don't give toss what you want. I've given my answer above and if you don't like it, tough sh1t.

BadEnoch has said on BBC radio that the new Tory policy on removing illegal migrants is to send them not here. When asked to clarify, she said not here. Finally, when pressed, she said "where they came from". So France then, Kemi. Excellent.

Kemi is comedy gold.

The fact that no-one's actively trying to replace her just reinforces my suspicion that no-one actually cares about the Tory Party as a political entity any more, despite Badenoch being hilariously bad. If Jenrick is manoeuvring behind the scenes, he'll only be using the party as a vehicle for his Reformy agenda, as Farage is unlikely to welcome a potentially ambitious rival into Reform.
