We must, the argument seems to be, send "criminals" (which in our case includes people who have served the term our own justice system deems appropriate) to "back where they came from" (which seems to mean by inference places filled with people who find such behaviour acceptable, and really that's half the problem).

The odd thing is he’s already in prison serving a separate sentence for another incident.

It's partly because he chose not to give up his Pakistani citizenship. This left him open to being stripped of his British one. Given his age - he could have given up his Pakistan citizenship at any point in the last 40 years - I don't have any issue with deporting him to Pakistan. He is likely fluent in Urdu and I think it's likely he has been back many times.

Agreed. I think she's likely been party to some serious crimes but hers is a different situation.

I don't have any sympathy for him either. It's more that my sympathy lies with Pakistan.

I tried to find out how common this is the other way around and it is indeed rare. We seem to be acting somewhat like some of the Gulf states whose human rights records we criticise, where someone with dual citizenship has been deported based on national security concerns.
