I spent 2.5 hours of my afternoon with two PCSOs and some of them persuading them that they had a safe avenue to talk about what was happening to them and allay fears about reprisals.

I posted the original story up because the thread diverted onto issues around ASB and the effect it has on people's lives. A stupid situation of somebody nicking eggs off my doorstep about which I give zero shîts revealed something very dark happening a stone's throw away that was blighting people's lives, andI knew nothing about it.

I've lived here for quarter of a century, and in that time have built relationships with some of the residents, although for reasons posted upthread they are not ones that tend to last for more than a few years. I have been a first point of contact for some of them, which usually involves non-local relatives phoning me up asking me to go and change a light bulb or check that somebody with Alzheimer's hasn't switched their freezer off again by mistake thinking they were turning on the light. So I have some interest in what goes on here.

And today's update? Because it shows that there are resources out there and that the authorities are willing to intervene, as long as they find out that there is a problem in the first place...which turned out to be a major issue in this case. Some people here might have been mildly interested.

Do I give much of a fúck what any of you prîcks think about me personally, or that some of you are openly accusing me of lying? Emphatically not. Thats just you being you.
