Refreshing on one of the hottest days of the year, but I thought water cannons were for dispersing rioters, not smiling, seated, scientists.
A bit more refreshing context:
- they where aloud to protest just not on a busy highway, before the water canon (which is still in ''spray'' position by the way, they can also put it in a much stronger position, but they only use that for those who ae brain damaged anyway and think everything is a government conspiracy)
- XR in the Netherlands talks about stopping fossil subsidies, but it's an real stupid point because there aren't any direct fossil fuel subsidies, they follow money that isn't really there the base their claims on like for example the Taxes dutch Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen doesn't have to pay because he lives in Monaco.
So there protest is pointless too
- they where warned extensively before being removed, also in a much more gently way than many other protest and they could join the other(authorised) protest in comparison with many other protest protestors are detained and only released at the end of the day.
Looking at some of the profile of some of those scientist seems they like to fly a lot, not really cared by the climate when it suits them?
