Sorry to hear about your son - hope he's over it now?
Wimpers has lost most of her sense of taste and smell since she first had a very mild bout after my first and that was right at the very start of the pandemic in Europe - before losing smell and taste was even considered as a symptom.
This time she for the first time she has the full set of symptoms and has been quite poorly.

Long Covid is quite a thing, affects people quite differently and is very poorly understood.

I had an interesting conversation with a tough as old boots 80 year old who claimed Covid and Vaccines were hoax, Ian Hodgkinson confirming 'his truth'.
I gently tried to move onto benefit, the science confirming Vitamin D as the most major beneficial vitamin. That he disputed too.
Amusingly, Ian Hodkinson at least got that one fairly right, even if not yet proven on that particular lung infection.

This comment sums it up... 'Conservatism" is a mental disorder that boils down to the incorrect belief that facts don't matter'

For us over 50s vaccines extremely often make up for the shortfalls of age. Avoid them with peril.
