I can understand a punishment or decision being postponed until after his term

I may be wrong but I think if they had done that he could have used his powers to dismiss the court case. The only option they had for him to be "marked" was to convict him as a felon but have no punishment.

Plus, he is aiming to become supreme dictator so there may not be an "after Trump" unless you count the second American Civil War and rise of new Gilead.

When I keep hearing how it was Trump that brought about the Gaza Ceasefire I don't see it that way. I see it as it being Biden who didn't bring about the Ceasefire. Biden could have pushed the agreement through months earlier and saved thousands of lives but he was so totally ineffectual as to beggar belief.

So I see it not as a positive for Trump but rather as a negative for Biden.
