Alice Littman was on hormones. They were provided privately by (former) Dr Michael Webberley of Gender GP from April 2020. Alice Littman died in May 2022.

You might well argue that lack of psychiatric support contributes to suicide amongst CAMHS patients but that applies to all of them, not just those referred with gender dysphoria.

Michael Webberley was struck off as a doctor for 'a catalogue of failings' in respect of children and young people who sought help for gender dysphoria, including a 9 year old to whom he prescribed hormones after a 10 minute Skype chat.

It makes no sense for Appleby to review those waiting to be seen by the Tavistock rather than those already diagnosed. Until they are seen there's no diagnosis of gender dysphoria and they aren't 'gender' patients, they're just young people with mental health issues who might or might not be 'trans'. You're asumming every child on the list is 'trans' and further that every child would get hormones.

Those already prescribed puberty blockers were continuing to receive puberty blockers. Those waiting to be prescribed puberty blockers did not start puberty blockers.

If the reports are correct, then Appleby reviewed the cases of those already taking puberty blockers. Inevitably, he would find those as stable as before. Again if reports are current he was not sent the cases of those who had been waiting for puberty blockers and had died by suicide, it would not have been possible for him to say, that there was an increase. Therefore the date of the ban on new patients taking puberty blockers is the critical date. Parents of children who had been waiting for puberty blockers, and hadn't received them, used FOIs and found that the suicide cases of children not prescribed puberty blockers were not forwarded to Appleby for review. Meantime Cass called the parents ''shroud wavers''.

Why would Portman & NHS not forward the known suicide cases to Appleby? That is what you must ask yourself. In the meantime, the coroners' reports stand as the testimony, and not the Appleby report.

The official stats show no increased rate in suicides in the UK in the year since the puberty blocker ban. This is in stark contrast to the claim that there was 1 death before the ban and 16 after it - a claim you made last June in this thread. That significant increase would show in the national stats for 2024 - 25.
