I'm trying to imagine what it would be like on both sides.Feel free to campaign for additional mixed sex facilities for those who do not wish to use the spaces allocated for their biological sex.
Example 1: A biological woman who dresses "manly" would probably not get any flack if using a woman's toilet or changing room and would probably feel relatively safe. As long as they don't appear so manly to the extent of passing for a man (and potentially being "reported" for using the wrong toilet).
Example 2: A biological man, dressed as a woman, in a male toilet, especially in a pub at night, is unlikely to feel safe. Just because, men are often violent cretins and women generally aren't.
If it were my son for example, I would not like to think he had to use a male toilet whilst dressed as a woman in the local meat market nightclub. I would prefer he had his own space where his appearance would likely be "normal" and tolerated
