In terms of the methods and amount of damage that has been caused his war may well be changing significantly and I am sure that he realises that. But the damage has been caused and that will not bother him nor will there be any rush to repair the physical environment or the damzged life situation for Palestinians in Gaza. He and his coalition partners have cynically used the opportunity presented to them by Hamas to push the boundaries and do something that they would probably have liked but could not have dared to do before. They will accept the (probably) temporary damage to relations with their main ally as a price worth paying.
