By responding to Israel's provocation, Iran has done a great disservice to the Palestinians. Israel had done a great job of alienating pretty much everyone over the last six months, and was well on the way to become a pariah state. Now the IR wänkers have given Israel a free get out of jail card. Netanyahu once again plays the whole international community as a fiddle.

The way that Israel had hours of warning that this attack was going to take place meant it was never going to succeed and Iran must have realised that. Was it just so that they had kept up their promise for revenge or was it so that they could also test the reaction times and tactics of Israel and its allies?
Either way it was noticeable how Israel's allies rushed in to condemn the Iranian attacks but said nothing when Israel bombed the Iranian embassy in Syria? Meanwhile "an eye for an eye" continues in true religious style.

Yep, the much parroted "rules based international order" has some very strict rules for some and very elastic rules for others.
Still, the fückwits at the top of the islamic republic have allowed Netanyahu off the hook and removed the Palestinians from the front pages. I bet there were celebrations at likud HQ last night.

That is true. But it is also true that the plight of the Palestinians, which was front page in the BBC News and the Guardian and other websites for the past few months has now been replaced by stories about Iranian aggression. Those front pages had pushed public opinion against Israel in the countries that support Israel. All that was lost last night. The suffering of the Palestinians now forgotten. In the countries where public opinion about Israel matters, that is a massive triumph for Netanyahu. And all because Khamenei had to show that he is just as much of an ärsehole.
