The premier’s policy of treating the terror group as a partner, at the expense of Abbas and Palestinian statehood, has resulted in wounds that will take Israel years to heal from

We can agree that Netanyahu never wanted a Palestinian state. Hamas don't want one either. There'll be no solution of any kind until both of them are gone.

Here's another excerpt where they laugh about the suffering of Palestinians...

Looking through their Twitter it seems like they're going down the whole "let's say shocking stuff to try and boost our frankly pathetic digital footprint".

At least I hope that's what they're doing, because if they actually believe what they're saying that's f*cked up. And I'd be pretty miffed as an Israeli if they were claiming, as they do, to be speaking for most Israelis which on the strength of protests against Netanyahu over the weekend alone they're clearly not.

Still both-sidesing a live genocide, I see. Nice.

Both sides have behaved abhorrently. Netanyahu's response has been massively disproportionate. It's possible to acknowledge that without pretending Hamas are the Quakers.

Plenty of celebrating and gloating on social media over October 7th. I'm sure you know there are also plenty of equivalent examples of Palestinian supporters calling for the annihilation of Israel and the death of Jews. It's literally in the Hamas covenant to obliterate Israel.

11 months of unabashed genocidal assault on a captive civilian population, and you're still bleating "But do you condemn Hamas?!" like some sort of Hasbara wingnut. I mean, Israel is so blatantly unhinged, and so blithely broadcasting its genocidal intent, that it's kind of embarrassing to work this hard at Not Noticing, isn't it?

I don't have any trouble acknowledging Israel's disproportionate response. I've done so several times. You seem to have a blind spot re genocidal anti-semitic death cults though.

Or perhaps opposing relentless and lethal Israeli expansion?

We can probably all agree the Balfour Declaration was a bad idea in retrospect. Have you any suggestions for resolving the situation that don't involve both sides trying to wipe each other off the face of the earth?

The simplest and fairest solution to the conflict is a square go between Sinwar and Netanyahu, with some rules:

4oz gloves
No weapons
No groin kicks
No biting
No gouging

This format could be replicated for other international disagreements. Where multiple parties are involved, there could be a royal rumble type situation, or possibly a mini knockout format before declaring an ultimate victor.
