This is the arrested gent, holding his Private Eye cartoon. I think it's unlikely the police officers would know that was a cartoon joke. They'd just see 'Palestine Action'. It would have been easier if they'd let him show them the cartoon in the magazine he had with him and got a senior officer to decide on the spot whether, as such, it met the criteria for arrest.

I think it takes a particular kind of thick to be unable to tell that Palestine Action in that placard does not refer to an organisation.
