Yeah, i read that interview. He seemed to be very careful with his words (probably had some team PR briefing), but I liked what he said:
Basically, these people have a right to protest, to be seen - they understandably feel very strongly about their cause.

The last few stages I've noticed lots of normal-sized flags being waved safely, by average-looking fans on the packed mountain sections. Which is good.

I don’t recall you ever pressing anyone to condemn any of the killings of tens of thousands of civilian men, women and children in Gaza over the last 23 months by Israel and its occupation forces.

Why is that?

I mean, there are dozens of Palestinian civilians killed by Israel every day, so it’s not like there’s rarely the opportunity.
