I sort of enjoy Shep's preposterous delusion that he's the lone voice of authentic Britain. It's especially hilarious to those of us who've spent a considerable amount of time working in pubs and clubs.

I have a vision of Shep walking into the pub, stepping over the dogs and saying to his mates

" You won't believe what those w*nkers are saying on CC!"

" Give me a fag and a pint of mild and I'll tell you"

"They think that women and immigrants are equal to us. World gone mad"

Well exactly.

At pretty much all my local pubs you usually have to negotiate a double row* of these oh so original, and hilariously p*ss taking "pc gawn mad protesting" blokes before you can get served.

Like you say it's hardly a breathtakingly original 'take' on the world.

You learn the avoidant techniques pretty quick, so as to get back to your personal choice of company.

But just now and then, if feeling mischievous you can play provocative 'reactionary bingo' with them.. 😇

*Covid was good for that in that everyone had to sit the hell down and have the drinks brought to them.. My son - who runs a city centre bar rather liked that time too..

Almost right, never smoked and believe it or not I believe Women are equal (or even better ) than Men in some respects but the jury's out on the latter. 😉
