Fwiw I can farm, garden, mechanic, measure, weigh out produce, order inputs, build, sew , cook, travel, and lots of other things in both metric and imperial.

Some ways are useful for some things..
For instance my shod foot is an exact 12".

But dividing by ten is much easier than twelve ..

However the fact that 12 has factors of 2,3,4 and 6 is useful now and then.

My German farm help finds it hilarious when I try to explain Imperial measures to her..
