Who?That's what Jo Swinson thought was going to happen in 2019.
She used to be the next Prime Minister.Who?
Oh, like the Davids. She used to be the next Prime Minister.
I'm no Tory but they could have had someone like Ken Clarke lead it and make it work. If it was to be a caretaker administration then it absolutely could not have been led by someone with long term Prime Ministerial ambitions.Corbyn wouldn't have got sufficient support from the Tories or, possibly, even his own party for that to have happened.
My mum used to do that to me and my brother sometimes. I don’t think it ever achieved the desired outcome.needed their heads banging together.
The membership at large wouldn’t have allowed that.I'm no Tory but they could have had someone like Ken Clarke lead it and make it work.
DelusionalAnd Labour could have made it happen if they removed the condition of Corbyn being PM. But they didn't. So here we are. Swinson and Corbyn both needed their heads banging together.
Absolutely, and Clarke was one of the names being touted for the position.I'm no Tory but they could have had someone like Ken Clarke lead it and make it work. If it was to be a caretaker administration then it absolutely could not have been led by someone with long term Prime Ministerial ambitions.
Could they have prevented it?The membership at large wouldn’t have allowed that.
