I would describe a life as little where people show little or no interest in the lives and concerns of those outside their family or social circle, or people who are not like them. It is typified by an "I'm alright Jack" attitude and a general lack of empathy with those with problems that they themselves do not have, and is certainly not defined by wealth or materialistic things.

It is up to others to decide if a person's life is little or not, there is no fixed scale of measurement, and I can think of many ways in which my life could be made both smaller and larger.

Your response just emphasises how small your life really is.

I am sorry @shep that I will not be continuing this correspondence in the short term because, as of tomorrow morning, I shall be enjoying a very materialistic week's walking, and occasionally drinking, holiday with my son in Italy. Have a nice week.
