Happy to hang around. I still enjoy this little corner of the internet, despite your ridiculous accusations that I'm racist.

I'm liking the bear angle. It's like when James Martin decided to self identify as an otter without fully understanding what the term meant in certain communities.

Anyway, threads veer and go off in wild tangents. That's part of the fun of them.

But in a doubtless vain attempt to get things back on track, here's the first thing I clicked on when I was contemplating Brexit earlier.

Brilliant. A 2% majority vote has f*cked us more than a literal plague.

Same utter denial of reality, and avoidance of known facts encouraged by vested interest, that has brought us the climate crisis

I'm not going to stop being massively pissed off by both, and at the people who knowingly led us into all this.

Veg harvests are having to happen earlier and earlier in the day before the field heat gets to it all, and shortens the shelf life.

Anyone who relied on skilled seasonal labour forces to help with that is properly stuffed.

The way I look at things, all you really can do is deny reality and get on as best you can.

Because what else is there? We are where we are.

That isn't to say I'm happy about it, not in the slightest.

At least it isn't eyeball meltingly hot (yet) today. But it's early, so we'll see.

To be honest I don't think anyone was well informed on either side.

The whole thing was just a punt as I see it. But it's here now, so we have to deal with and accept it.

The political landscape in the UK just now is woeful. Not that I've ever been a particular fan when I've had the opportunity to vote.

"Here, tick the box for whoever you think is least awful."

"... Great ..."
There was plenty of information out there
It's just people couldn't be bothered to find out, and just listened to the lies in the billionaire owned press, and shoot written on buses.

The brexit referendum was a supremely dumb idea, "Ask a stupid question - get a stupid answer" would have been a bad idea anywhere, but especially here, where there's a definite theme of 'revelling' in ignorance.

Along with the xenophobia, and exceptionalism..

Bothering to find out and educate yourself is still seen in many circles as either 'sad' or 'suspicious' .

An idea encouraged by the very populist media, and political class, that benefits from keeping people in a state of ignorant unknowing.

Sorry, my rather truth hungry brainium won't let me do that.

However, I do have other means of staying personally cheerful.

I'm doing my very best to be a good ancestor .

And that fact, alongside the beauty all around me helps a lot. 💜💚🌈🙏🏼🌱🌱🌱🌱

Why not read it? Too scared that it’ll tell you the damage that people like you have caused because (insert dumb reason here).

Again, why not accept someones answer……why push ( insert yet another question here)

You haven't done yourself any favours with that, it looks like 'don't bother me with inconvenient facts'. You really can't complain if others then accuse you of not being a well-informed brexiteer.

Brexit vote was in 2016…..its now 2022

Im not stirring anything…..i answered the question honestly and have said nothing else

how is that sh*t stirring

did i vote brexit in 2016- yes
im happy were out of the EU - yes
would i vote yes again - yes
has the UK government made a clusterfark of it - yes

am i happy with my decision - yes

so there your answers, no pot stirring, no winding up, just simple honest answers.

as far as why am i here goes, cause clowns like you keep asking me pathetic questions and keep drawing me back into this thread……stop asking questions, i stay out of here.

it really is that simple for me.

and the names JOWWY, just for reference like.

You clearly have no idea how this is a red rag to a Bull do you?

I worked with a fella named Michael, but preferred 'Mike ' everyone called him 'Mick' upon which he would correct them by saying " by the way it's Mike ", not once did I hear anyone call him Mike, I worked with him for 12 years!

Especially funny when someone gets pissy about it.

There's a lad now at our place with a typically christian name as a surname, we always call him by his surname (Norman) as it ticks him off.

Now THAT really is being a c*nt for daffodil's sake jowser.

The article I linked to was from July of this year.

But hey, in 40 years, everything will be cool.

what i was getting at with my reply to unkraut, was theres no point asking someone to read a report and when they dont, accuse them of not being a well informed brexiteer....the vote happened 6yrs ago now, as far as i am concerned ( and many others will feel differently ) i was well informed to make my decision and i stand by my decision as i stated above....

now if people dont want me in this thread ( cause im just sh*t stirring), then its probably best that people dont reply or ask me questions. then i can leave this thread alone and all the remainers can gather around the fire pit singing come by are together
