I much prefer a spirited humanism.

The basic message of "Be decent to each other, particularly those less fortunate than yourself" seems to have been driven out of most established religion..

But this significant woman gives a good retort to JRM and his mealy mouthed 'allellujas'..

It just popped up completely at random on my Facebook today, one of the very few politicians who I'd happily listen to.

And one of the only guests who Ali G couldn't get the better of when he interviewed him, if you've not seen it there's a moment not long into it when Sacha Baron Cohen has a look on his face that says, 'I may as well give up here, he's way too sharp for me.'

Tony Benn 😍 Great man and politician.Vilified by the media....remind you of anyone 🙄
He developed a carapace for dealing with newspaper headlines which called him, almost daily, a “loony”, “cultist”, “Soviet agent”, “commie puppet”, “enemy appeaser” (for being on the side of striking union members), “traitor”, and so on, but the diaries make it clear that Benn was sometimes crushed by the sheer weight of the lies thrown at him by the media. He gathered himself and went on nonetheless.

They are all hypocrites in multiple levels.

Now that would be comical wouldn't it, "I'm seeking asylum in the UK" , "No worries mate, stay where you are and if you're successful then you can, well, stay where you are " , "Nice one, I'll just stop here then, result!"
