Infrastructure seems not a consideration for Planning. Since I've lived in my current house/village (18 years) each winter we have sewage (poo, toilet paper, etc.) in the screets, coverin g roads. Anglian Water "Not our fault, blame Highways" and Highways "Not our fault, blame Anglian Water". And every new house/development Local Councillor, Parish Council & everybody object because we don't want more sewage in the streets but Planners ignore those objections and approve anyway ... and we get more sewage in the streets.Re planning, East Devon are really taking the mickey - they have a habit of plonking all their biggest developments on Exeter's finges, so they get all the council tax, but all the infrastructure challenges are dumped on Exeter.
Edit: same happens in quite a few nearby villages.
