Were there to be a recall petition I suspect it would get enough signatures. I assume that the vast majority of Count Binface's votes were people who were prepared to make the effort and go vote and saying "Not Färage" (rather than them wanting Count Binface to represent their interests).
For Clacton the number of votes Count Binface got would exceed the 10% threshold needed to for a Recall Petition to succeed and I suspect the vast majority of those voting "Not Färage" would welcome another opportunity to have their voices heard.
Sadly I think he would win again.
If all the parties put up a candidate it will only water down the opposition.
It needs one sensible anti Farage candidate backed by all parties. But that won’t happen.
Is there a Martin Bell waiting in the wings?
And in any event the Clacton population are a weird bunch so it would need to be a right leaning independent candidate. I doubt someone like Rory Stewart would be acceptable.
