So sad to hear this. I flipping love Glenda Jackson. Watched Mary Queen of Scots for the umpteenth time the other week. What an amazing legacy of acting roles, activism, and public service to leave behind though.

Can I propose he's granted a tenure of similar duration to that of Liz Truss, just as long as he agrees to be immediately (and presumably joyously) terminated the instant it's over? Seems to be what he's asking for.

Could be an exciting development in our broken politics. Sort of like Logan's Run with short-term wannabe dictators.
