He and Rachel Reeves (Shadow Chancellor) have been clear that, with energy, they'd be pragmatic not idealistic. Nationalising energy would have a significant cost and would break their commitment to fiscal discipline; ie it won't happen. That is their position as of now, or rather in the circumstances prevailing in mid July.

There is a point of view that says the energy situation is so dynamic that the position may change.

The railways are pretty much nationalised already in practice, the Train Operating Companies are just managing their operation for a slice of the farebox.

I agree, we have had years of government by knee jerk reaction. We need someone with a brain and a plan. When we find someone, they need to be electable.

No idea...that's just the brains we need then.

We elect Polictians to do the Governing. You just have to look at what happened in the referendum if you let the general public loose on policy making.

Have you published your manifesto anywhere?, and, mean a little bit more than Nationalise Energy and re-instate Corbyn.

How about all essential services and utilities should be pubically owned and not a profit making.Profit should be made on luxuries not necessities.
For starters....

Not a bad start, but, a few days ago, when I suggested Nationalising, among other things, Food Production, (food is an essential, I assume you would agree?), you were luke warm at best.

Well, I did mention farming and supermarkets, (from memory, can't be arsed to look back for the posts), ie production and distribution of food.

I can have all of the ideas in the world, if I am not in Government (which I am not, and never likely to be), they are so much hot air.
