To be fair, no-one, but the implication is that Reeves is worse than her predecessors. Thus the logical conclusion to that is that the jeering from the Tories is that they think they did better...

If you mean the Tory MPs in Parliament, probably. But, personally, I am not impressed, and, I am not a Tory supporter.

Strange attempt at making your point, but I'll answer it ...
The only one on your "OK" list that comes close to a slur is "Yorkshire Maharaja"; fair enough, it alludes to race - but saying "he's part of a very rich indian family" is not much of an insult IMO.
On top of which, I'd never heard it before! Just googled it, got 5 hits that refer to Sunak - the rest are marquee hire firms or other very wealthy indians. Try again ...

Strange that "Wee Kranky" raised a few hackles on here then. But, that aside, aren't nicknames generally meant to be at least slightly piss taking and insulting. Certainly most of those I have encountered have been.

I know, not the most reliable source, but, it would appear nicknames for (UK) Prime Ministers are not a new thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_nicknames_of_prime_ministers_of_the_United_Kingdom

More to do with it coming from people with absolutely no skin in the Great Game Of Scottish Politics than the epithet itself, I'd expect.

Quite possibly, I wouldn't know. I have 'no skin in that game", but, I quite admired "wee Nicola", without necessarily agreeing with her.

You do come out with some crap, Mults

It's a joke, Croft.

There's no way CXR would know what a "crypto communist" is, or get the reference to year zero

Kind of shows how risibly polarised the twitter generation has become.

Claude and acolytes will tell you that Reeves is a neo-fascist genocide-enabler seeking to incarcerate the working class via poverty.

CXRAndy (no acolytes, because nobody is that thick...well maybe Dutchie) will tell you that she is a crypto-communist seeking to collectivise everything, declare year zero, and send the mercantile class to the gulag.

Well... if I had to choose I'd go with Claud.

She is, but that doesn't make far right misogynistic taunting acceptable.
Over the last few days I've had to conclude she's a "Climate Change Denier".

I've read quite a few articles from reliable sources from those who actually know about Climate (eg in "The Conversation") and none come anywhere near her claims about Heathrow's Climate impacts. She's throwing out these claims not even accepted by her own Government and without any evidence, expecting us to blindly believe her.

And today in TV she's already declaring she'll be granting Rosebank and Jackdaw the go ahead despite ghat they haven't even submitted the environmental impact information they are legally obliged to submit. What sort of scrutiny is that? (ans: none, just blindly ignoring climate impacts).

eg https://theconversation.com/expandi...tible-with-net-zero-heres-the-evidence-248090 - just one article of many saying pretty much the same.

Well yes. It's wrong. It's "Wee lookalike Krankie" as all scholars of McGonagall will know.

I thought the "Kranky" had a basis in her coming across as being a bit crabbit in interviews. Which is entirely understandable considering she was one of the finest politicians going yet routinely ridiculed for being short and female. To be honest I reckon behind closed doors she thought the Krankie thing was vaguely amusing at first but not for long.

It's a shame how things ended for her as leader, but I'm seriously impressed with her efforts and grateful for them.
