Taking 1+ million people, housing them, providing work, healthcare, schooling, food, water, etc. is a significant challenge. In the UK we struggle providing housing, healthcare, etc. for out existing population.

Jordan has a current population of around 11m so suddenly add 1m would be close on a 10% increase meaning massive expansion of services, medical (GPs, Consultants, nursing, hospitals, etc.), jobs, houses. Current unemployment rate in Jordan is currently around 20% so rapidly add 10% to the population would mean complete disaster.

Stop it, you've just covered the problems of the UK. We've had millions more since 2000s and not enough infrastructure to cope.

Quite apart from the legalities and morality of Trump’s “idea”, it is totally impractical. The population of Gaza is approximately 2million, if we assume average household size of 5 persons, that means building approximately 400,000 houses, with associated infrastructure, in a matter of months. We haven’t managed that in years. What suggests that the Egyptians, Jordanians, etc could achieve what we can’t? After all, we are “world leaders” aren’t we?
