Has CXR just done a stupid?

Does he not know that 20% of the population of Jordan are Palestinian refugees...because the Jewish settlers didn't start ethnically cleansing in 2024...they started in 1948.

Does the forum ignoramus not realise that Gaza is an occupied territory? Does he not think the Gazans have the right to try and kick out the occupiers? Does he not realise that if Gazans are forced into other countries they will therefore be forced to mount their armed resistance from those countries, and in so doing make those countries a target for Israeli attack?

Perhaps the forum.dunce thinks that invaded and occupied people should just roll over? Or, if he finds that this should not apply to Ukrainians perhaps the determining factor is the colour of skin and the level of propaganda to which he allows himself to be subjected.

And to be clear, these remarks are for the consideration of other poster and not the dunce in question. His thoughts are worthless.

Stop it, you've just covered the problems of the UK. We've had millions more since 2000s and not enough infrastructure to cope.

It's ok for Jordan to refuse their neighbours but ok for us to take them.

Since 2000 that was 25 years ago so spread over a lit linger. We are a significantly larger population so in %age terms even lower %age. We are wealthy country (member of G whatevers).

It's not a they take them or we take them. Most of what I've heard (eg interviews with Palestinians) they want to stay where they are, it's only Trump wants them to move so he can do a land grab to build a luxury resort, make billions $$$$$ all breaking international law.

The problem I have responding to CRX's posts is that they can be wrong in so many ways that to address even a few would create posts pages long. So I tried in this case so consider just one aspect he might understand ie avoid considerations like morality and legality.

That said, once I typed in some of my post I realised ... waste of time as it conflicts with his ideology and won't be considered. Must remember not to waste my time like that again.

We are not a wealthy country, the UK is £2.5 trillion in debt.

100% of GDP. We are not paying off the interest or any capital.

100% of GDP.
What's the ideal %?

I tend to think Economics is a difficult subject to understand, and it's all too easy to convince people that running the country's finances is like the housekeeping budget. But apparently Trump has a degree in Economics, so is it really that complicated, or am I underestimating the Donald?

Debt is not a measure of wealth. Only a wealthy country can service such a debt and maintain a high standard of living. Otherwise you might as well say Burundi with a 14% Debt to GDP ratio is approximate 7 times more wealthy than the UK, which is clearly not true...

Explain Rachel from accounts massive tax grab. We are skint, she is trying to squeeze more money out of the public

If you approached any bank with those debt level and ask for more money you be laughed out of the building.

Why governments are allowed is beyond ridiculous.

It's a pretty poor example really when a bank routinely lends people 5 or even 6 times annual income mortgages even with current financial commitments such as car and a credit cards.

In any case comparing personal finances of the likes of you and I and national governments is unrealistic.
