Starmer's vision quest

Don't be so ridiculous. Paedophile rings have everything do with grooming gangs - both CSE.

You'd be a poor criminologist. Lots of factors are involved - like age of victims, relation to perpetrator, location, circumstances of offending - that mean you can't lump all types of offending together. Again, by your logic, crime researchers are just wasting their time examining these events aren't they? It's all just the same, so why bother trying to shed light on the different kinds of offending.

You have claimed that Pakistanis are more culturally predisposed to raping children.

This is racist, because it isn't at all true.

Screen shot of that then. And saying cultural factors were likely a contributory factor isn't the same.

Edit. Actually, don't bother. We're just on another circulat tit for tat side track to the thread. The issue isn't going away and people can read the stories of the victims for themselves if they're interested enough.

I'd manage to be somewhat better than you.

Instead of trying to monitor the entire Asian population for suspects, I'd monitor night shift mini-cab drivers and fast food delivery drivers, a much smaller cohort of people and not giving cause to community tensions or propagating hatred against groups while doing so.

But what are needed are not just people better at criminology than me, but people employed to protect the interests of young people so that they don't end up vulnerable on our streets.

We need to learn from our previous experiences, Southport was a big reminder of what can go wrong. The police quite critically need to be aware of community tensions otherwise the very same people who point their fingers at racial groups will be as quick to point them at the police.

No. We aren't actually. You've said what you've said and it's all there for anyone who is reading this thread to see. No amount of your usual tactics will allow you to worm your way out of it.

I stand by everything I've said. Interpret it anyway you like. I'm not retracting any of it, so you can relax.

So proud ...

You would have to be wilfully blind to pretend there is no cultural aspect to the nature and scale of these offences.

It's right here.

Linking rape of teenagers to "culture" which really is a dogwhistle to ethnicity.

You say you stand by everything you said but you stopped saying this as soon as I pointed out the inherent racism, didn't you, and tried to pivot onto the institutional response.

No pivot. I stand by that comment. It being a contributory factor is a view that's been shared by some of the victims and Asian community leaders.

"Mohammed Shafiq told Sky News: "There is a minority of criminals involved in sexual abuse of children in on-street gang grooming who view white girls as worthless".

He says 'criminals' and he is right; you say 'Pakistanis'. His words do not give permission for yours.

From the same link he also said this ...

However, he warned against the far right jumping on the issue, saying grooming "affects all communities, and rather than pointing the finger at each other we should come together to defeat it".

As has just been pointed out to you, Shafiq is not saying that the abuse of white girls is endemic, he isn't saying that it's a problem particular to Pakistanis...he's just saying that there are a tiny group of Pakistanis that do this, and he refers to them as "criminals".

This doesn't differentiate Pakistani men from everyone else, it makes them the same as everyone else. All communities has people like this. Have you not heard of Andrew Tate?

You should stop digging. This is getting embarrassing.

Where are the adults in the room?

https://www.theguardian.com/comment...litics-fiscal-crisis-corruption-legal-threats

I find the fact that Tulip Siddiq is still in post while Louise Haigh was pushed out not at all surprising.

Sadly when I need to hear an adult view, I now tend to ask Microsoft Co-pilot where I find I can get a frank well-written factually accurate and unbiased and balanced response within seconds, and it provides links for checking. I wish it wasn't true.

It also drew my latest avatar over there last night from a list of my requirements in a matter of seconds - although with some errors like my Trek Emonda having both a disc brake and rim brake on the front. It also exaggerated my hair length. But I had the image within 3 seconds of hitting the enter key.

What I have said is sadly true. I asked Co-pilot to calculate how much extra tax James Dyson will pay as a result of Labour's changes to CGT. It quickly walked me through a calculation arriving at a figure of £111million.

If I had that conversation with a forum here or elsewhere I'd be bombarded with people who hate Starmer, hate Labour, hate the Green Party, call me a communist, woke, paedophile adjacent tree hugger, tell me they love Jeremy Clarkson, Kemi Badenoch or Boris Johnson or something equally daft.

Instead I got a calculated answer, a walk through of the facts, etc. If I asked for links from official sources, they'd be provided instantly.

I am then a reluctant fan of it, and sad for humanity that this is what life has become.
