Doubt it was R Reeves, more likely general loss of confidence in the government. Reeves had some massive bust up with Lyndsey Hoyle just prior to coming into the chamber, according to social media anyway.
I'm shocked by the entire thing. so she was upset about something. Her business not ours. Everybody gets upset at times, sometimes about major things sometimes minor, I certainly do, I cry sometimes. Doesn't matter if personal or professional, people get upset sometimes. There's video of of her talking with the Speaker; not sure it was a "massive bust up". He was though frustrated by her answers on Tuesday and there's an ongoing conflict from way before Starmer about the need to announce stuff to the house before briefing the press.
Best guess is that multiple things both professional and personal got to her.
To me the madness is how it caused market jitters, cost of Government borrowing to go up and £sterling to drop. To me that an economic system that is not fit for purpose.
Press seems unable to cover anything else! So, she got upset about something. No big deal.
It does highlight unkindness in others eg Ms Badenoch and Starmer.
