The Tories conducted the worst election campaign ever with a deeply unpopular leader and a party that was fundamentally at war with itself, and Corbyn still lost the election? That one?
There's me thinking in 2017 Corbyn Labour had the biggest vote share since....god knows when 🙄
People actually thought they had something worth voting for.But dont let that cloud your judgement.....

We had a poor Labour leader facing a hostile media getting close to being able to form a coalition government, but not close enough to form a Labour government, against an extremely poor Tory leader.

A wasted opportunity. Close but no cigar.

Sorry not to disappoint you, @theclaud

He'd been around long enough (32 years an MP before becoming leader) to have known what to expect. Doesn't make it right, but it is what it is, sadly not going to change, and has to be handled.

You know when you say has to be handled, what does that mean ? Like get behind the current Labour leader....or the party ? Even though it doesn't represent anything I want.

I've resisted for a while, but I think I can be allowed one of these now...

It means what it says. Labour leaders are at a disadvantage because of the strength, and viciousness, of the right wing press when the Tories are challenged. You have to have a leader who can get a message across in a way that will gain public support and confidence.
The buck stops at the leader. It is not about getting behind a crap leader but choosing an effective leader. Labour has not done that recently.
If Labour doesn't represent anything you want then you will have to find a party that does. The world will still go round.

An MP back peddling ! No way

if you hooked up a load of generators to bicycles with the chain set up to work backwards - and put all the government on them
then we could shut down all the power stations and just power the grid from their backpedaling

I wonder how strong the health unions really are? I guess we will find out soon when the restructure we are being told about right now starts to bite.

My guess is that they will do absolutely nothing at all.
