So were does the mayor get the money from for his contribution????
Same as any local authority: government funding and local taxes.
The government funds to TfL are separate. That funding was cut when Khan was elected, which was widely regarded as a political decision so the Tories could point to how Johnson as mayor had managed (Boris buses and all that crap) much better than Khan has since. And now they are deliberately withholding funding security so that TfL can't plan ahead.So the government has cut funding for them, the same as every other local authority in the UK then???

I know they won't be left unstaffed, they will be staffed differently though, and the support they get from the rest of the hospital will be less as services ITU relies on will be on Christmas Day/night rotas.
Like I said, if you think a hospital is staffed the same 24/7 365 you are deluded. There is a lot less support from other teams, diagnostics etc at night and over Christmas. That will impact ITU, surgery, ED, CCU, SCBU, trauma, burns units, psychiatry......
