Found it in another outlet:

“It comes after he last month failed to appear at court in connection with unpaid legal bills after he lost a libel case brought against him by a Syrian teenager last year.
Robinson faces the possibility of being held in contempt of court, which can be punished by up to two years in prison or an unlimited fine.”
I do hope they deliberately waited for him to get to his destination before issuing his arrest warrant, it would make this story all the sweeter.

(We really need a chef’s kiss emoji.)
With the likelihood he'll be immediately arrested when he touches back down in the UK too :okay:

He's also released a video where he is having a conversation with one of the Mexican officials, who is clearly struggling with the language, in which Lennon does his best to give the impression that Mexico, and the Mexican Gov, are scared/controlled by Muslims and Mexico is basically under Sharia law.
I kid you not.
That reminds me of a conversation with some builders I employed last year. They told me earnestly that Croydon is now a no-go zone because it is filled with burka wearing Romanian beggars.

Sounds like an entry form violation, ie. not declaring convictions, having an outstanding warrant, or something similar. He should get the same treatment as anyone else in that position, which is presumably detention or bail, then deportation. Bit tough on his kids but these are the kind of things you should think through before you book your jollies. At least the UK police will know where to find him.

Indeed. But, I suppose having him for a father is a bit tough on the kids, full stop.

More good news on the men cycling as women front when a leading female former cyclist gives her views on this topic.

I've got a lot of time for Nicole Cooke and found her autobiography a fascinating read especially the way she overcame the roadblocks put in her way by British Cycling. I also found Robert Millar's autobiography excellent as well so the way Cooke brings his situation into the subject is great to read.

Apologies it's in the Heil but it's all her own work! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...OOKE-hero-trans-woman-bravely-speaks-out.html

Welcome yourself into the new modern crisis
I'm just posting this message as a reminder to myself that this is an unmoderated forum, we'd all like to keep it open, and there's no need to chase a point about which I have already made my feelings unequivocally clear.

I spotted your two deliberate attempts at transphobic controversy there.

Nicole Cooke's article a bit too much for you then?
I had to sit down and have a cup of chamomile tea after reading it. What is the world coming to?

It is quite possible, although apparently difficult, to discuss the issue of trans women in sport without being critical of the concept of women transitioning, and without pointedly refusing to use their preferred pronouns.

I don't have any difficulty in that myself. One of our group members is a woman who fathered two sons and as she has fully transitioned in every way, we tend to accept what she says on these issues. She was saying - before the Nicole Cooke column was published - that it's the most efficient way to cheat and there should be a trans-category for people who fall into that category.

I think the issue with posting it in this thread is triumphalism over the decision about Bridges. Foodie has started another thread on the topic.
The good news will be if and when they find a way for all athletes, be they cis or trans, male or female, to compete properly at a level and with a degree of fairness and respect that everybody is happy with.
