Something nasty in the woodshed

"People can't afford to eat".

"What makes these people think they have some sort of right to be able to afford to eat?"

Apropos of nothing (honest), I understand that the audience at that Nat-C conference event gave wild cheers & applause to an American speaker who suggested that the UK's gun laws should be revised to be similar to those in the US.

Grotesque as the suggestion - and the attendees - might be, I'd be lying if I said I couldn't think of a good practical use for an AK47.

I'll have you know that crows are highly intelligent birds.

I think, when dealing with that person, the r is superfluous.

Maybe if she'd ever got laid just once in her life she might not be so bitter and nasty.

I find it interesting how that point is made about nasty women but not nasty men. As a counterexample of how getting laid does not fix the nastiness, see de Pfeffel, he seems to have gotten laid a lot, and hasn't improved his character one bit, why would it improve Widdecombe's? She's just a nasty piece of work like many others in this planet.
