Like we needed any more reasons not to watch the World Cup, there's going to be a half time show at the final...

WTAF?

The Boro should call Southampton and tell they will need to do an extra special 'Father Ted' style forfeit for being such cheating b@stards.

Interesting perspective on hotel pricing, that FIFA are potentially helping price increases. I can't help but wonder whether this is a fairly routine but of corruption to give host countries a perk at supporters' expense.

I desperately hope there are lots of empty seats in the US, but not Mexico and Canada.

They're fleecing people in Mexico and The People's Fighting Republic of Canadia too.

Trump can’t even blame anyone else for this, as it was awarded in 2018 when he was president. So if it’s a shambles, it’s on him.
And I hope it’s a total flop.
FIFA and US companies have lost the plot on pricing.
No one has £10k to blow on a trip to the World Cup.

I don't see how one stadium having a match should materially affect hotel bookings in a big city. It's different from the Olympics where there are a lot more seats and venues. Also, when the Olympics is on, most countries suffer from a lack of bookings in the rest of the country, so overall they lose tourists. The main advantage is it markets the country for the future.
