What's startling is that you pick up on Fab Foodie not using a dead MP's first name and yet say nothing about the racist troll trying to highjack the thread about the same MP who people have been collectively coming together to express sadness and shock.

I do not call anyone nasty names, particularly politicians, not least because they are not here to defend themselves.

Some posts on here are nothing other than insults of a politician or another member, yet they get plenty of likes from the usual hypocrites who preach about how kind and respectful we should be to others.

The usual hypocrites, of course, being incapable of dealing with anyone who disagrees with them.

Stop being such a pious nobber. Of course politicians should be insulted, or are you not in favour of free speech?

Of course directly threatening politicians with threats to their safety, wishing them harm or using hate speech (abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice against a particular group, especially on the basis of race, religion, or sexual orientation) should not be tolerated.

But this country has a great tradition of insulting politicians, royalty, the clergy and others in the ruling classes, and long may it continue!

This is all fine and dandy had the police force not been cut to the bone by the Tory Party. Now I’m just surmising here, but maybe, just maybe, if we had had a full strength police force they might have also been able to keep a better grip on people being radicalised whether religiously or politically.

If, I'd started a thread about ms Patel, and her activities, I probs wouldn't have used the N word , because that seems a bit inflammatory, and just gives the Tory apologists false fuel for their fires..

Although I'd totally agree that a lot of what she has said and done and is proposing could quite justifiably be considered nasty.

Imo she's being used as a foil by the party, so they can say "see we're not racist"
