I don't think Trump is a good comparison though. Perhaps you guys know 84 year olds who are still sharp enough to lead their country, but I think it's unlikely someone that age will be up to the demands of the job. He's not even that age yet but they seem to keep him away from the press and anything where he has to think on his feet.
As I've said before it's slightly depressing that a Biden or a Trump was the best a country the size of the US could offer. Not seeing any better candidates this time round either.
Well yes, i agree that the choices are depressing but the health of a leader simply cannot be determined by a few select cut and paste videos. They would have gone berserk in the 50's with Churchill having strokes and being paralysed down one side on one occasion... We've seen it with Merkel, Trump, Biden, Clinton, Putin, Lukashenko etc... More often than not corruption goes unreported and people falling over is reported in the psychopathic media and people go along with it, depending if they support their views or not. It is not in the least bit helpful, but im convinced it helps some people sleep at night. It very much seems to be a more modern phenomena which is perhaps not surprising given the access we have to the media.
As for people of age doing things, im not saying being POTUS is not a stressful job. But Biden is not running marathons, he at least tries to remain physically active, often going on bike rides and i bet the first thing that springs to mind is him falling off the bike that was banded around. But no-one appears interested any other times on his bike riding. Further to that, there aren't many 80 odd year old's riding bicycles, perhaps more so these days, but still not widespread. Meanwhile Trump eats burgers in front of Netflix...
I wouldn't mind betting that if you looked, you can find videos of most leaders all over the world slurring words, falling etc. It's just not important and detracts from more serious stories which go repeatedly unreported...
