Indeed. Wot? You like the sausages? If not, whose fault is it?
Not exactly, but they only apply to weaklings, like the Ivory Coast, Liberia, e.g., and only occasionally.
Major power politics is anarchic because a greater, enforcement power doesn't exist. Folks like Pinno718 are clearly having huge difficulties understanding this simple fact despite evidently literally living in this "Current Affairs and Politics" forum. Quite extraordinary! Hence we see an unending, boring stream of magical thinking from him here, like:

No shoot! Indeed the West did not stand by. But how has it turned out? Y'all happy?
Hasn't Ukraine still been losing? And how has Europe/UK fared? What for? So Ukraine could have a crack at joining Rutte's Daddy's military coalition, but failed?
Since Putin is not the one wanting a ceasefire, and since NATO is unlikely to survive now Daddy wants to quit, AND since you obviously support this Ukrainian, "look West", adventure that led to this happy day for Putin, who the fcuk in reality is a stupid Putin supporter who cheered Ukraine down this garden path?
I wish there was a nicer way to put it, but you clearly have learnt nothing from nearly 4 years of this same lesson. Somehow in your fantasy world the invaded must prevail? While the US haven't tolerated a hostile neighbour in their backyard for two centuries, Putin somehow should? Which Western country is willing to go all in to test Russian resolve in order to help Ukraine? Where are their boots on the ground now Ukrainian men are decimated?
You have no idea how funny y'all look banging your heads against a brick wall cursing it because it isn't where you think it should be, apparently. Since nearly all European leaders are behaving likewise, the chance of a ceasefire is close to zero - Europe will end up holding the baby without Daddy. Good job!
What is actually the root of all this?
Hubris, exceptionalism, and of course pig-headedness.
