“Baroness Harding’s experience is not such that it was obvious, without any selection process, that she was uniquely qualified for the role,”
I think her unique qualification may be revealed here.
She is the wife of the former Conservative minister John Penrose, who is the prime minister’s ‘anti-corruption champion’, and she is a personal friend of former prime minister David Cameron.

I'm now confused about the court dates. I thought it was 13th and 14th but it must be 14th and 15th.

I wonder how many more similar stories the Mirror have ready to release in the coming days.
Makes you wonder why they sat on this for a Year though?

Not just the paper's but everyone who had the photo's, it's one monumental bollock drop I have to admit.

We don’t know the journalists did. I agree that the motives of the sources are unclear but perhaps it has some connection to a desire for a leadership challenge.

It's just possible they didn't want to be seen to be destabilising a government trying to cope with a pandemic. The last thing you need in the middle of this is a rancorous leadership election.

The other alternative is they were keeping their powder dry for a more opportune moment.
