I'd like Multers to note that I only approve of triggering speed cameras with non-motorised transport, and that if he's driving some kind of twatmobile around France (or anywhere else) I hope the lentillistas get him.

It was a minibus full of disabled kids and they were egging me on to do it.*

Disappointing. It's an FNRttC tradition to try and set off the one on the Ditchling Rd into Brighton.

Unfortunately the only local gatso on a restricted road is on a flat bit of the A68 in Lauder. When all the Borders 30s reduced to 20mph I was very disappointed to find it had a bag over it.

I have seen speed monitoring devices (not cameras) on cycle tracks in the Valencia area of Spain. I think they were triggered at 30kph and displayed a sad face, at lower speeds they displayed a smiley face as you passed.

What is wrong with being an “economic migrant”?. Australia, New Zealand and USA were initially the destination for many an economic migrant. One of them is back here visiting me right now ;)

Well yes that was my point - sorry you didn't quite get it..

But it would seem that some people get all hot under the collar, if anyone should ever dare to travel in the opposite direction looking for opportunity. 🙄

Don't try that if you're Vietnamese though, you'll end up detained on an island in the middle of the Pacific.

What, even if you have the necessary entry requirements?

Don't know if you've noticed this but some folks seem to need different 'entry requirements' to others.

It's almost* as if the system is rigged against those who are already most disadvantaged.

*This is sarcasm btw for the avoidance of doubt 🤔

Not me, if they follow the appropriate procedures.

You may be right, I have no idea what the immigration system is for USA, Australia of New Zealand, you were talking about USA, Australia and New Zealand, weren't you?

Well if you've got a relative there you could ask them, or even look it up.

I've spent a bit of time in, and even have friends in the north east, and I know for a fact that search engines are available there.

A cursory glance at any news outlet would show you who is allowed to move to another country to seek opportunity, and who isn't.
