We know as good as know that Brexit was an all round financial scam.
Naive Owen Jones advocates putting a 270bn tax hit in the manifesto. 'Instant devastation 2', including a total collapse of sterling before the election?
So the millions already living in poverty stay that way....but we've got to think of the wealthy eh ?

It’s not a pure wealth tax. It’s a tax on income created from wealth. A bit like capital gains tax.
i doubt it taxes the value of homes and other fixed asset.

That is correct. It is a tax on income from capital. The tax on the capital when you snuff it can be as high as 40%, beginning at €138,642.

The corollary being that the taxes raised are wisely spent rather than being spaffed up the wall...the Tories have also shown us that....

Very true, but, sadly, not just the Tories, Labour, during their brief spells in power have done their share of wasting public money.

Just a few examples of waste and incompetence, it is pretty easy to think of others, Prescott's Command and Control Centre, for example, and, of course, the MoD is in a class of it's own.

Sort of goes without saying but if we're referring to Labour keeping the child benefit cap and dismissing free school meals isn't a good look.Keep on spouting the same old sh1te of there's no money isn't going to solve anything.Public services were crumbling well before Brexit,we need investment not more austerity.

Agreed - Not seeing any good intentions from Labour sadly....
