This update on Barclays debt, to me hints that their Brexit campaign was highly suspicious. Debt distractions played a part, I am certain.

1247. Product Safety. William Bain of the British Chambers of Commerce says the government’s recent decision to ‘extend indefinitely’ the use of the EU’s CE mark will see UK companies having to go to Europe to get items tested and certified, adding cost to their processes. Alasdair Reay of HPi Verification Services, a UK ‘notified body,’ says the move is a potential death notice for the UK certification business because there is now no commercial logic in maintaining UKCA accreditation. Companies will have to go to the EU to get goods certified, even if they are only for the UK market.

Believe more.

I wonder what is putting them off.

If only this could have been predicted before Brexit eh?

It just shows the exceptional arrogance of Brexit - again, it's not like this wasn't predicted.

Stop - WAIT! Maybe, just maybe, if we rejoined Horizon we might just get a few extra applicants....

Bah, experts, what do they know, and why would we need more. Don't we have enough people in this country to snipe at our  harebrained brilliant plans for the future?

I'm in France at the moment, again. When you look at their towns, cities and villages you realise that they make the UK look primitive in every sense, whether it be eco measures, municipal quality of life, but in particular the architecture and what it tells you.

Grandeur is everywhere. Design, such as Art Nouveau is everywhere, industrial heritage is everywhere. But wasn't it us, the British, who ruled the world and had the greatest, richest empire and led the world with the Industrial revolution and are the most cultured because Shakespeare?

Hmm.....

A week ago I was in Germany. The Germans sometimes refer to the British as 'Inselaffe' (look it up, Pallid, you small-minded twät), with good reason.

Exceptionalism is borne out of ignorance.

Indeed, we could learn a thing or two from our European Cousins, if only we took our Union Jack blinkers off.

Or even just co-operate.

Thanks to Brexit we no longer have a functioning space programme.

When we left it meant leaving Galileo, the European GPS satellite programme which was started in order to not be totally reliant on the US GPS system (very wise move...what if Trump wins) given the importance of GPS not only in our lives but in industry, aerospace...everything.

Of course the Brexiteers said we could start our own UK satellite system.

But we can't. So we are shut out of everything.

Idiots. Utter, moronic idiots.

This is the bit that gets me, almost as much as the Brexit decision itself, which has always been on the agenda of many of the Tory politicians and Mail readers.

Not only did we have to leave but we now have to act as if we don't want them as partners, except on our terms.

Even the recent decision to introduce ETIAS for visitors to the EU was put by the Mail as done to spite us for Brexit when it is clearly not that at all and is the same as visitors from any third country...which we chose to be.

I hope that if Labour get into power next year they will start building ties with the EU again. It would benefit both.
